Online Gambling Traffic Dominance in 2026: Stake Leads World Rankings with Chumba Casino, DraftKings Strong in the U.S.
21 September 2026
In August 2026, three brands - Stake, Chumba Casino, and DraftKings - are battling for supremacy in online gambling traffic. While these providers are all accustomed to being ranked in the top tier, the 2026 data available shows a shifting of the competitive landscape.
Taking the global lead in traffic is stake.com, which in August 2026 made 107.76 million visits, putting it well in front of long-time global leader SportyBet at 57.3 million. But that global edge doesn't carry to the U.S. - in the 2026 ranking for the U.S. market, Chumba Casino sets up shop as the American online gambling favorite, recording 30.6 million site visits in August 2026. In that U.S. ranking, stake.us was third on 11.8 million visits.
The 2026 ranking data for the global market shows Stake as the clear dominant force in online gambling, with over 100 million monthly visits in August 2026, relative to Powerball and SportyBet, Japan's cash lottery and leading sports betting operator. But the U.S. market shows a different pattern, with Chumba Casino taking the U.S. crown. DraftKings records second place at 15 million, while Powerball holds third with 13.9 million.
Despite their U.S.-leading slot, Chumba and DraftKings have not improved their global position from 2025 to 2026 - with Chumba maintaining a distant 7th place in the August report, and DraftKings 9th with 15.8 million.
The 2026 data has two other key insights for brand leaders.
One is about mobile traffic. Chumba Casino, Stake and most of 2026's top-ranked sites saw at least 80% of traffic from mobile, according to global analytic guides. At 97%, Chumba has one of the highest rates of any major online gambling site in 2026. Stake leads the global rankings, but mobile accounted for 70% of its August visits.

If the mobile trend is setting a foundation for how gambling brands win, the 2026 report also suggests a move towards regional dominance by leading sites. Some critics would say a rising mobile gaming market is predominantly a U.S. story - with Chumba Casino topping the U.S. rankings, but just seventh in the global report. Stake and SportyBet look more mainstream, but would be less familiar names for mobile gaming U.S.-based consumers.
These mobility themes are common across the 2026 rankings, however. One of the leading analytics guides, iCasinoGuide, reported a consistent finding - that the most trafficked sites in 2026 are the ones that optimize for mobile use and mobile acquisition.
That perspective is deployed differently across the leading analytic indicators. Rather than a simple competition for traffic, the 2026 data positions online gambling development as a growing number of mobile-first platforms, with different brands leading based on region.
For Chumba, it's U.S. dominance, while for global gamblers, it's now Stake that matters.
